EUROPEAN ARCHITECTURE

MEETS MODERN STORES

Defined as hypaethral areas surrounded with walls at the center of a structure or a group of structures, and as one of the prominent elements of European architecture, courtyards and squares are essential for city life. Lotus Nişantaşı project revives and modernizes the concept of courtyard, a space offering opportunities to breathe and socialize in the city by combining shopping, eating and recreational venues as well as bringing people together.

Conceived with the idea of turning hidden centers between buildings into public meeting places, the project includes units providing opportunities for shopping, eating & drinking and socializing, especially at the street level of buildings around inner yards. In this mixed urban structure, a balanced amount of space is allotted to shopping, commerce, housing and hotel functions. Facilitating access through courtyards creates a special balance in the dynamics of buildings as well as the texture of the environment and the city.
